Did you know that to make those creams thin enough to go through a pump they need to have more water (as opposed to oils) in the formula? More water means they need more preservative, compared to a cream made with a greater proportion of oils.
Modern preservatives are chemicals.
Scientific studies are linking many of the physical precarities of our Age to these chemicals (hold onto your hat! Yes! You and I have been and continue to be lab rats!) - for example, cancers, auto-immune diseases, organ damage, skin diseases, lymphatic disorders.
Is a pump for your lotion really worth the ultimate price?
We make thick creams with as little "water" as necessary (we use hydrosols which are steamed plant essences) and we use just enough organic alcohol to keep the "water" from growing bacteria and mold. No chemicals. Our creams are meant to heal.
Our salves and balms have no "water" at all. Just skin healing oils and butters with essential oils. Purely plant derived. Fed by the Earth, raised in the rain and sun. They take a little longer to soak into your ravaged skin so take a minute to let that happen.
And they won't pump, ever!
So there's less plastic to wash up on the beaches or clog the oceans, or be swallowed inadvertently by dolphins, whales, sea turtles.....
